We’re excited to announce that The Y Hawke’s Bay is launching a brand-new Before School Care Programme at Marewa School!
Starting this term, our programme will provide a safe, structured, and supportive space for tamariki to begin their day the right way—surrounded by caring staff, friends, and opportunities to learn and grow.
Why Before School Care Matters
We know mornings can be tough—for kids and for whānau. Whether it’s juggling work commitments or ensuring children get to school on time and ready to learn, our Before School Care programme is designed to take some of that pressure off families.
This programme doesn’t just offer a place for kids to wait until the bell rings—it’s a chance for them to connect with others, build life skills, and get into a positive mindset for the day ahead.
A Nutritious Start with Our Breakfast Club
An important feature of the programme is our Breakfast Club, ensuring every child starts their day with a healthy, energising meal. The impact of this simple act can be transformative:
