Fully vaxed team to safeguard tamariki

Our priority is to ensure that young people attending our programmes have fun while being kept safe.

In the past, keeping safe usually meant assessing the physical environment for any potential hazards that could cause harm. In today’s world, a huge part of keeping safe is managing the risks around COVID-19.

YMCA Hawke’s Bay policy is that all our staff must be fully vaccinated to be able to work for us. This is because so much of what we do is with children who are currently unable to receive the vaccine.

Parents can be assured that every staff member looking after your tamariki is fully vaccinated. We also have other measures in place such as sanitising, contact tracing, and ensuring pick up and drop off of children is done at the entrance and not inside our venues.

You can play your part in keeping our YMCA community safe by understanding and following our procedures and by wearing your face mask when you pick up or drop off your children.

If you have any questions or any matters you would like to discuss around COVID-19 safety measures, please do not hesitate to call us.
