I am a Mum to my two handsome boys Rayne and Riki, and an Aunty to my many nieces and nephews. I come from a big family, there’s eight of us altogether – three girls and five boys. I was born and raised in the heart of Hastings – Pā Harakeke (Flaxmere).
I have many years’ experience working with young people, from attending holiday programmes as a teenager to youth health and everything in between and all around. I was the first person in Hawke’s Bay to complete a Bachelor of Youth Development.
I actually started at the YMCA HB as an Afcare supervisor and youth facilitator in Flaxmere before I embarked on my journey to get qualified so I’m a bit of a boomerang and have come back.
As Youth Development Manager I am very excited to get the Y’s youth department pumping and young people flowing through our Hastings site.
