Outdoor Adventure Hub at Miter 10 Park
The Outdoor Adventure Hub at Miter 10 Park (Hawke’s Bay Regional Sports Park) provides exciting outdoor experiences for tamariki and rangatahi across Hawke’s Bay.
Operated by The Y Hawke’s Bay, the Hub offers fun, safe, and confidence-building outdoor programmes designed primarily for school groups, with opportunities for youth groups and community programmes as the hub continues to grow.
Our programmes focus on building teamwork, resilience, confidence, and leadership, while making sure every young person has a positive and memorable experience in the outdoors.
The Outdoor Adventure Hub offers a range of engaging activities designed to challenge and inspire young people:
🧗 Rock Climbing – Our purpose-built climbing wall provides a safe and exciting introduction to climbing.
🚣 Kayaking – Learn paddling skills and water confidence in a controlled environment.
🛶 Rafting – Fun and teamwork-focused water activities.
🏹 Archery – Develop focus and coordination through target-based challenges.
🧭 Orienteering – Navigation activities that build problem-solving and teamwork.
🤝 Team Building Challenges – Interactive activities designed to strengthen communication and leadership skills.
🚐 Transport options may also be available to help schools access the hub.

The Y Hawke's Bay – Outdoor Education
The Y Hawke's Bay offers a wide range of outdoor education programmes and activities for all types of groups in the Bay and beyond. All our programmes are customised to suit your needs! We also work with a number of third parties to provide activities that are not listed, so contact us if there is something else you would like to try.
Unfortunately, our climbing wall is currently not available.
The team at The Y Hawke's Bay are passionate about developing young people and aim to offer experiences that transform the lives of both young people and adults for the better. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to experience the outdoors and learn about the great New Zealand wilderness.
We have programmes and initiatives for everyone, no matter the age, background, or ability. Our goal is to help people of all ages push their boundaries, grow in confidence, and discover capabilities they didn’t know they had.
Equipment Hire
For experienced and qualified instructors, we offer equipment hire so you can run your own activities. Please email us for more information.
Safety is always our first priority. Every instructor carries a first aid kit and a personal locator beacon or satellite communications device when off site.
