BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE – OSCAR
The Y Hawke’s Bay is proud to offer daily Y-Kids Out of School Care programmes in Hastings, Napier, and Taradale for children aged 5 to 13 years.
Each day includes afternoon tea and a variety of engaging activities. Tamariki have time to complete homework, play games and sports, get creative with arts and crafts, enjoy baking and cooking — all in a safe, supervised, and fun environment.
Y-Kids OSCAR programmes are supported by the Ministry of Social Development, and WINZ Childcare Subsidies are available to help with costs.

Before School Care Fees
Taradale Primary: 7.15am – 8:30am. $9.00
per morning, per child.
Arthur Miller School: 7.15am – 8.30am. $9.00
per morning, per child.
After School Care Fees
We charge $18.30 per day, per child for bookings 3.00pm till 6.00pm. You are welcome to pick your child up at any time that suits you as long as it is before 6.00pm. Afternoon tea is provided free of charge.
If you only require care for a short period of time we offer a 4pm pick up option for $9.00 per child.

Pick-up Service
We offer a pick-up service from a number of schools in Napier and Hastings and transport children to our After School Care programmes. Please check with us to see if your child’s school is within our pick up zone.
